Fall 2019 Edition: Things To Do In Alma, Michigan

There is so much to do during the Fall season in Alma, Michigan.

September 27: The Alma Public Library is showing “Despicable Me” at 4 pm.

If you have a toddler you can check out Storytime at the Library. Storytime will meet every Tuesday at 10am starting October 15.

On October 25 there will be a screening of “Monster House” at 4 pm.

There is a lot to do at the Mt. Pleasant Discovery Museum. On September 27 you can take part in the community event “World Wide Day of Play” from 4-7 pm.

On Tuesday mornings you can take the kids to “Music Time” at 10:15.

Thursday mornings for “Kids at Art.” The best part for parents … no clean up! Take a look at the museum description of this weekly event: “Kids need to paint but you don’t need the mess? Come to the museum each Thursday from 10:00 am-11: 00 am and enjoy the creative fun of painting and we will take care of the clean up!”

Catch productions of “The Good Doctor” at the Strand Theater on October 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 27. Friday/Saturday performances begin at 7:30 pm.
Sunday matinee performances begin at 2:30 pm.

Don’t miss the mid-Michigan Food Truck invitational at the Soaring Eagle Casino. Their website states, “The Mid-Michigan Food Truck Invitational at Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort will be a competitive food truck exhibition like you’ve never seen before!”

The Event begins at 12 pm. on September 28 and ends at 8 pm. This event is open to the public.

On October 5 you can catch TOTO at the Soaring Eagle Casino.

If you would like your body moving talk a stroll down the Fred Meijer Heartland Trail.

Per The Fred Meijer Heartland Trail site: “The Fred Meijer Heartland Trail is a 42 mile, paved trail that connects the cities of Alma and Greenville in rural, central Michigan.  It is open to non-motorized use year-round.”
